All computers running Backup Cow application can not only connect together by LAN (Local Area Network) , but also connect by Remote Access (via Internet/Intranet).
What is "Remote"
"Remote" feature means that you can also backup or restore files between computers by remote access via Internet/Intranet.
* Firstly, you need to create remote network connection accounts in: Settings-- Remote Network
* Then select a Remote connection mode in the program main window.
There are the following two methods to set up remote network connection:
a. Standard
The Backup Cow users (the cloud nodes or users) can connect together by joining a virtual netowrk group. You must create a group account on Backupcow.com, which will parse the ip address and tcp port for each group member. Please click here to view the instructions on how to set up the Standard mode of Remote Network Connection.
b. Advanced
You can connect to a remote PC or network by directly entering its ip/domain and tcp port number.
