How to Encrypt Backups

Backup Cow can encrypt all your folders and files for backup. You can encrypt backups with a pre-set password. After that, any users cannot obtain encrypted files without password.

Here are the ways to encrypt backups:

• Click on "Settings - Backup - Encryption Settings", then tick "Encrypt backup files" box.
• Enter the password and password hint.
• You can also reset password here by clicking "Reset Password" button. But please note that new pre-set password will only take effect for new backup items and your previous backup items still use the old encryption password.
